Laima Vaikule and the Laima Rendezvous Jūrmala international music festival invite talented vocalists from all over the world to enter the brand-new season of the Laima Voice vocal competition. The grand prize is a unique opportunity to perform live on the same stage with renowned stars as part of the Laima Rendezvous Jūrmala 2027 festival. Participation in the competition is open to anyone interested, regardless of age or country of residence. To enter, by July 12, 2026, it is necessary to post a video of your vocal performance on Instagram, making sure to add the hashtag #laimavoice2026 and tag the festival’s official profile @laimafestival.
Video requirements:
The video must be published on a public account and available on the feed as a short video (Reels) or a standard video post.
The hashtag #laimavoice2026 is mandatory.
You must tag the official festival page @laimafestival, so the organizers are guaranteed to see your work.
Good audio quality is important; the video should maximumly showcase your vocal abilities.
The duration of the clip (Reels) must be at least 40 seconds.
Submissions are accepted for videos published no earlier than 2025.
An unlimited number of video entries can be posted from a single account.
By posting a video, the participant automatically grants consent to the organizers and partners to use the materials across social media platforms.
Competition stages
The first stage of the competition features digital auditions, where the jury will carefully evaluate every submission. The organizers’ response and invitations to the next round will be sent via Instagram, making it crucial for contestants to regularly check their private messages (Direct). The most exceptional vocalists whose unique individuality and stage charisma instantly captivate the judges on video will fast-track directly to the finals without additional auditions, meeting Laima Vaikule personally in an online format this September. As a special bonus for early entries, contestants who upload their videos with the hashtag #laimavoice by June 1, 2026, will be eligible for special festival certificates. These certificates offer a unique opportunity not only to attend celebrity concerts and rehearsals but also to experience the behind-the-scenes magic and absorb the atmosphere of a major live show from the inside.
The second stage brings the selected participants to live auditions, which will take place offline on July 25, 2026, in Jūrmala, right during the peak of the Laima Rendezvous Jūrmala festival. The auditions are scheduled for the first half of the day, allowing contestants and their guests to fully enjoy the festival’s evening concert program. The audition fee is €70, and each participant will personally receive all technical details, including the date, exact time, location, performance number, and payment information.
As an additional privilege, organizers are offering a special promo code that will be issued to contestants as soon as they advance to the second round. This code will allow contestants to pre-order the required number of tickets for all festival days at a special price on bilesuserviss.lv for themselves and their accompanying guests.
The third stage and grand finale will be held in an online format. The finalists chosen during the live auditions will meet Laima Vaikule personally in the digital space in September. Throughout the year, the festival’s hostess will assign various vocal challenges and tasks to the contestants, ultimately crowning the grand champion in an online format based on their performance results.
