From 25th to 27th July, the legendary Dzintari Concert Hall in Jūrmala will once again host the most anticipated musical event of the Latvian summer – the Laima Rendezvous Jūrmala festival. While the festival brings together internationally acclaimed artists from across Europe and beyond, Latvian performers remain at its core, adding warmth, authenticity, and national character to each concert evening.
This year, over the course of two nights, the audience will experience performances by 11 outstanding Latvian artists, each representing a unique facet of the country’s contemporary music scene – from established icons to bold new voices.
Intars Busulis – a name that needs no introduction to the Latvian public. A performer whose stage energy defies description. He doesn’t simply take the stage – he commands it, sweeping the audience into a whirlwind of genre-defying emotion and magnetic presence.
Markus Riva and the Talsi White Choir, fresh off their powerful victory on the national television competition “Koru kari”, (Choir Wars) will present a specially crafted concert version of their performance. This collaboration has become one of the year’s most talked-about musical phenomena, combining lush choral sound, modern arrangements, and expressive stagecraft. Their full-length programme will be featured on 27 July, the festival’s closing night.
Citi Zēni – a six-member boys’ band that has proven Latvian pop can be smart, culturally relevant, and musically sophisticated. Their sound embodies the energy of a new era and the voice of Generation Z, delivered with remarkable precision and personality.
Jānis Stībelis – one of Latvia’s most refined and musically intelligent voices. His romantic style and deep, mellow tone are an ideal match for the mood of a summer evening in Jūrmala.
Normunds Rutulis – the embodiment of Latvian stage elegance. With his mastery of Latin jazz and lyrical songwriting, he evokes a refined and sun-drenched atmosphere that is inseparable from Jūrmala’s cultural spirit.
Framest – an a cappella ensemble of international calibre, known for their vocal precision and intricate arrangements. Each of their performances is a celebration of harmony and sound architecture, constantly surprising with creative reinventions.
Jussendo – a vocalist, composer, and producer whose work blends jazz, soul, and poetic lyricism. Her musical philosophy reflects the inner rhythm of the modern city – sophisticated, intimate, and confidently delivered.
Dināra Rudāne – a voice of raw power and emotional intensity. She moves effortlessly between classical technique and rock expression, offering performances that are both disciplined and deeply human.
Diana Paško – a rising artist whose voice feels like a revelation. Her music is not just performed – it is told, confessed, shared. There is always a sense of truth behind her sound.
Marija Naumova (Marie N) – a true icon of Latvian music, winner of the Eurovision Song Contest and a performer of rare elegance and international grace. Her return to the festival stage is both a celebration and a gesture of deep artistic respect.
Patrisha – one of the leading voices of Latvia’s modern music scene. Her work reflects the sound and spirit of our time: bold, stylish, and rich in substance.
Laima Rendezvous Jūrmala is not merely a concert series. It is a cultural phenomenon, envisioned by Laima Vaikule as a place for artistic encounters, unexpected duets, and the discovery of new voices. It is a festival where musical aesthetics, personal taste, and heartfelt connection meet on stage. From 25 to 27 July, Dzintari Concert Hall will once again become the beating heart of the Latvian summer – where every performance is an event, every evening a celebration, and the stage a bridge between cultures and hearts. Tickets are still available at www.laimafestival.lv and www.bilesuserviss.lv.
True connoisseurs know: the magic of the festival doesn’t end with the final chord. The exclusive afterparties are where the energy of the artists and the audience blend into intimate evenings of spontaneity, toasts, and music shared beyond the spotlight. These gatherings remain in memory as a refined flourish to an unforgettable weekend. For more information, please contact: +371 26645333. The festival is supported by the City of Jūrmala.
