Laima Rendezvous Jūrmala 2025 concluded with a sold-out finale and a firework of emotions

On 27 July, the Dzintari Concert Hall became the epicentre of music, style and emotion as the final gala of Laima Rendezvous Jūrmala 2025 played to a packed house. All tickets had been sold well in advance, while dozens of people gathered at the entrance hoping to secure a spot at the last moment. The evening turned into a true celebration of music and connection, blending elegance, energy and the festival’s unique atmosphere.

The Sunday gala concert is always a highlight. Glamorous guests and artists graced the red carpet, while the hall was filled with anticipation and excitement. The evening opened with Markus Riva and the White Choir from Talsi, winners of this year’s “Choir Battles”, setting a powerful emotional tone for the night.

Among the most memorable moments were Laima Vaikule’s duets with Bi-2 and Andrey Makarevich – a rare combination of onstage chemistry and musical magic. Potap and his Slavic Balagan electrified the audience with unrestrained positivity, while the radiant Nastya Kamenskikh transformed the stage into a true star-studded spectacle. Nino Katamadze, already a cherished tradition of the festival, once again made the hall hold its breath, as her voice wrapped the listeners in goosebumps and reverent silence. The audience could not stay seated during the infectious energy of Oleg Kenzov and Moldovan group Sunstroke Project, while Nikolay Trubach’s performance brought a dose of lyricism and delicate romance to the night. The dramatic and immensely talented Michał Szpak once again captivated the crowd – not only with his striking presence but with a voice that carried every emotion. Latvian stars Dinara Rudane, Patrisha, Jānis Stībelis, Normunds Rutulis and Citi Zēni delivered the hits that the Laima Rendezvous audience awaits every year and sings along to with passion.

Laima Vaikule shared heartfelt words of gratitude:

“Thank you to every artist, sponsor and audience member who gave this evening their heart, their love and their music. Without you, there would be no atmosphere, no joy of this meeting. Tonight in Dzintari, we once again felt that the festival lives because of you and for you.”

The night gathered an exceptional audience – among the guests spotted were Oleg Tinkov, Pyotr Aven, Yuliy Krumins, Jūrmala City Council Chairman Gatis Truksnis and many other admirers of live music and the festival’s unique atmosphere.

Laima Rendezvous Jūrmala 2025 took place from 25 to 27 July at Dzintari Concert Hall.

The organisers extend their gratitude to the city of Jūrmala for its support, to Lido restaurants for providing catering, to Inchcape Motors Latvia – a leading international provider of automotive sales and after-sales services – for transport and BMW luxury cars, to the major video service Kartina.TV, as well as STV, Tilts and Venden for providing water.

The second day of Laima Rendezvous Jūrmala 2025: Semyon Slepakov’s solo concert, intellectual humour and an unexpected duet

On 26 July, the second evening of the Laima Rendezvous Jūrmala 2025 festival filled Dzintari Concert Hall with laughter and music. The highlight of the night was Semyon Slepakov’s solo concert, where the artist unveiled a brand-new programme that he will soon take on tour across Europe.

The new show delivered Slepakov’s signature mix of subtle satire, irony and sharp observation. Of course, he also included his most beloved hits – the songs that made him a favourite with audiences. The crowd responded with roaring applause, while his clever lyrics had listeners laughing to tears.

A special surprise awaited the audience when singer and TV and radio host Anna Shalyutina joined Semyon on stage. Her musical career began in childhood: her first concert at the age of five, her first private event at fourteen, international competition wins, a degree from the University of Culture and Arts, a career in broadcasting, the creation of her own band and thousands of performances ranging from intimate shows to stadium concerts for over 100,000 people. Her sold-out #квартирники_шалютиной concerts have long become her hallmark.

Together, they performed the witty and heartfelt song “Conversation between husband and wife”, which became one of the emotional peaks of the evening.

Today, 27 July, the festival will close with a spectacular gala concert. All tickets for the final night are sold out. The programme promises to be full of energy, featuring Bi-2, Potap & Slavic Balagan, NK (Nastya Kamenskikh), Nino Katamadze, Oleg Kenzov, Michał Szpak, Stefan, Nikolai Trubach, Maria Naumova (Marie N), Intars Busulis, Dinara Rudane, Patrisha, Markus Riva with the Talsi White choir, Citi Zēni, Jānis Stībelis, Normunds Rutulis and Sunstroke Project.

The grand finale promises the true spirit of Laima Rendezvous – world-famous hits, powerful duets and unexpected artistic collaborations that make audiences return to Jūrmala year after year.

The festival “Laima Rendezvous Jūrmala 2024”, which took place from 26 to 28 July at the Dzintari Concert Hall, brought together 45 artists from 14 countries, offering a unique musical experience. These three days were filled with high quality music and many surprises that delighted both the audience and the artists.

Every day, both well-known Latvian performers and international stars took to the stage, creating a special atmosphere. The festival was marked by soulful and emotional performances, such as the duet of Eurovision 2024 winners NEMO and Laima Vaikule, as well as the spontaneous performance of Andrei Makarevich with Bi-2, which easily won the hearts of the audience. Maksim Galkin surprised the audience by performing songs in Latvian, and the duets of festival hostess Laima Vaikule with Nikolai Trubach and Andrei Makarevich created a special mood.

The exclusive afterparties, held after each festival day, became special events. At these gatherings, artists and guests continued to celebrate music and art in a relaxed atmosphere, often improvising, singing, and dancing until the early hours of the morning. It was a unique opportunity for guests to get closer to their favorite artists and enjoy the evening in a special setting.

The festival concluded with standing ovations and a sense of great emotional uplift. These three nights demonstrated the power of music to unite, bring joy, and inspire. The Laima Rendezvous Jūrmala 2023 festival was a great success, confirming its reputation as the most significant cultural event in Latvia.
The music marathon at the Dzintari Concert Hall attracted audiences from Latvia and abroad, providing three days of celebration after the break caused by the pandemic and war in Ukraine.

The festival was dedicated to supporting Ukraine. There were Ukrainian soldiers among the guests, to whom Laima Vaikule presented cards with wishes.

Such stars as Salvador Sobral, Laima Vaikule, Vera Brezhneva, Andrey Makarevich, Nino Katamadze, Inese Galante, BLANKA, Janis Stibelis, Markus Riva, SunStroke Project, Patrisha, Elina Nechaeva and Denita Karaslavova performed on stage. A special event was the benefit of Laima Vaikule, her first performance in Latvia for a long time, as she was traditionally accompanied by the Ukrainian ballet “Freedom”.

The surprise of the festival was the performance of Maxim Galkin, who together with Laima performed the song “Yellow Leaves” in Latvian. The audience was delighted.

The festival also supported a charity initiative aimed at helping Ukrainian children. The portal http://ziedot.lv collected 3 629 euros, thanks to which 20 children affected by the war were provided with recreation in a Latvian camp.

The festival ended with fireworks of emotions and left unforgettable impressions for all participants and spectators.
